epubBooks is a service that allows for many different online ebooks stores to be searched simultaneously, but more importantly, that the results can be filtered by reading device, making sure only books that will work for you and your eReader will be displayed.
Along with searching by device, results can be viewed based on category, price and a number of other criteria - helping making your experience as easy and enjoyalbe as possible.
We've also gone to great effort to make sure that only books in the popular EPUB format are displayed.
Our catalog currently holds many hundreds of thousands of ebooks that can be purchased. Alongside these new releases and best sellers, we also provide a number of free ebooks for you to download and read on almost any current eReader. Our titles include classics such as Alice in Wonderland and A Christmas Carol.
What is EPUB?
EPUB is a reflowable format for digital books and other digital publications which has been built on top of the XHTML and CSS technologies. The next generation of the format, known as EPUB3, was completed at the end of 2011 and uses standards such as HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript. This will allow for enhanced books to be created that can be read on any device that has good support for these web technologies.
The Company
Michael Cook first started working on digital ebook production in 2005 before founding epubBooks in April 2008. All design and development made at epubbooks.com was completed by himeself up until the end of 2011, at which point funding allowed further development to be undertaken. We are based in Manchester, in the North-West of the United Kingdom.
