Get Free eBooks

Everyone enjoys reading a good book, especially when they are free! The number of website where you can get ebooks seems to be growing daily but finding those with books costing nothing is becoming more and more difficult. On this resources page I'm going to share some great tips on how to search the top retailers websites for these elusive books.

Well, I guess the first place to start is my very own epubBooks. Okay, so my collection is still quite small, but what you do get is quality. All the books found here have been processed by my own processing tools and I went to great effort to make sure that you are getting some of the best looking ebooks found anywhere — letting you focus on the story without any distractions from horrible layouts and text styling.

All the EPUB ebooks found on epubBooks are completely free to download and come without any DRM protection, as long as they are only used for personal use. Browse our current selection in the Books section of the site.

Amazon Kindle Store

Browsing the Amazon Kindle store directly from your eReader is pretty crummy at best — trying to find free Kindle books is a nightmare. Therefore I'd recommend you do all your searching directly from the Amazon website itself.

One really useful page is the Amazon Kindle "Limited-Time Offers" page, which always has a bunch of ebooks on offer, at very low or zero prices.

For those of you who don't mind paying a couple dollars then Amazon's Kindle Daily Deals page has some excellent offers which are well worth checking out each day.

It wasn't so long ago that it was super easy to get hold of free EPUBs from KoboBooks . Since then it's become more and more difficult to find them. Kobo claim to have "Over 1 Million FREE eBooks!". They are there — you just need a little patience in discovering them.

The best approach for filtering by "free" is with the following process;

  1. Visit
  2. Use the search box at the top of the page, or click on one of the category links on the lower left
  3. Select "Sort By: Price: Low to High" from the drop down on the right side

As you can see, this is not a difficult process, but every time you make a new search you will have to change that "Sort By" option.

One handy page well worth visiting is Kobo's "Top 10 Free Downloads".

Many people either don't know about Diesel-eBooks, or have never spent much time on their site, which is a shame really as their prices are often better than other retailers. On top of this, they are also very friendly towards those looking for cheap EPUB ebooks — they even have a handy link in the footer of their homepage!

There's a couple of different ways to filter the listings on Diesel. The first is to just view their main overview and catalog listing pages;

Or, you can run a search.

For some reason, when you search via their main "Search" bar the "Sort By" feature doesn't work on book prices. This means you need to make an "Advanced Search". Although this page may look madly complicated, it is actually pretty straight forward.

  1. Visit
  2. Click the "Advanced Search" link (next to the main Search bar), or just click here to go straight to the page
  3. Enter your search term in the "Keyword" box
  4. Set "Price Range" to: "Min 0" and "Max 0"
  5. Adjust any other settings as required
  6. Scroll down and hit the "Search" button

The advanced search is a little slow — so have some patience!

If you're interested in downloading from, then you're going to have to trust to luck. At this time I haven't found any way to filter books by price or view a "Top Free Books" listing. For, it seems we're out of luck!
